The house feels quiet now,
A silence where your footsteps used to be.
No soft paws on the floor,
No tail wagging just for me.
Your favorite spot still waits,
A blanket gently worn with love and time.
I catch myself still calling your name,
As if you might appear around the corner one more time.
You were more than just a pet,
More than fur, and paws.
You were comfort on difficult days,
A friend without conditions or flaws.
You listened without speaking,
Loved without asking why.
You stayed through every storm
And never said goodbye.
Though your collar rests now empty,
And your toys lie still and worn,
Your love remains within this home
Like the warmth of every dawn.
Somewhere beyond the sky’s wide blue,
Where fields stretch endlessly green,
I like to think you’re running free
In places we’ve never seen.
So I’ll hold your memory gently
Like a light that will not dim.
Because love like yours doesn’t fade
It simply waits… until we meet again.
I’m sorry about your furry friend, these loses are so hard. Hang in there friend.

Thank you. Pet loss always feel so much deeper than some people realize because pets give you unconditional love and ask for nothing else.
